It’s been awhile…but changes are coming.

When I wrote my last post all the way back in November. (Gosh, has it really been that long?) I didn’t think I would have taken such a long break from blogging. We were definitely busy (with holidays, sickness, teething, and snow), but part of my lack of posting was due to lack of planning.

In part, that’s what I’ve been doing in my silence on Our Montessori Home. Planning.

What You Can Expect

On Mondays you’ll see a feature called This Week… Each week I’ll share one of the following: what we’re reading, working on, learning, or where we’re going. On the first Monday of each month I’ll share what our monthly theme was from the previous month. As I’ve thought about it, it makes more sense to share our monthly themes after we’ve completed them. That way I don’t feel the rush to publish them and I can work out any kinks that come up before I pass them along to you.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays you’ll see short, reflective posts on Montessori parenting. Mostly these are things I’ve pondered, struggled with, or “A ha!” moments I’ve had in my Montessori journey and, hopefully, will encourage you in our own journey as parent and/or Montessorian.

On Wednesdays and Fridays you may find new Montessori activities (most geared to infants and toddlers) pertaining to our theme, the current season, or Joey’s skill and interest.

On Saturdays you can find a feature called Montessori on the Web. This is where I’ll share all the great blog posts, articles, and Montessori related products, materials, and activities I’ve come across throughout the week.

My goal with all this planning is to be more focused in our work at home, rotating activities, being more aware of Joey’s sensitive periods and making the most out of them, as well as fulfilling my original mission of Our Montessori Home–to help, encourage, learn, and work with you!

Let me know how I can help you. Is there a specific question or topic you’d like to learn more about?

I’m really looking forward to reading your coming posts! I don’t know much about the Montessori method so I am eager to learn from you, especially since Evan and Joey are just a few weeks apart.
