Aahh…it’s September 22nd the first official day of fall. I have been eagerly awaiting this day for weeks. It’s been years since I’ve lived in a place where the leaves changed colors and the weather turns cooler. I’m ready to take it all in!
To revel in the beauty of the changing leaves, the aroma of sweet potatoes baking in the oven, the taste of cinnamon and nutmeg, and the crisp autumn breeze is what makes fall one of my favorite times of the year.
To celebrate, today we’re going to change our summer table linens for the fall linens, put up a wreath, and a few other autumn decorations. If the weather stays dry we may even go outside and the pick the first of the fallen leaves and make a collage.
Oh, I love it!
Are you doing anything to celebrate the beginning of fall? What are the fall traditions in your family?
