This week we said goodbye to Grandpa and hello to some cooler weather and one crazy thunderstorm! Not much (or any) kids in action pictures, but here’s what we’ve been doing:
We’ve been using this book to help teach Otto parts of the body.
This is a language sorting activity. I picked a few cards and various items for each sound. Joey hasn’t shown much interest in this work.
Pouring with a funnel
Tonging. Even though this is for Joey, Otto really likes playing with the wooden balls and hitting them against the tin.
This was one of our Christmas toys. It’s from Little Sapling Toys and it’s a fun, little non-traditional sensorial activity.
Simple sound cylinders. They’re pretty simple. I wanted it to be an activity that both Joey and Otto could do, so I left the jars uncovered. I’m planning to cover them (or paint the insides), so that Joey can do the activity without matching the contents by sight.
